1990 Chrysler TC Maserati "Only 81K" This One is Special "Near Mint Condition" This is a fantastic opportunty to own a very well cared for and Rare 1990 Chrysler TC Maserati "Only 81K Beautiful Light Cream with the Black Leather Interior, All Original a True Classic with everything right. This is the right Car and has all the right things that will make increase in value. It is the Right Color, is in Fatastic Condition, service records, and has been very well preserved. This Maserati TC is incredibly clean, with Low Mileage and spent it's entire life in the owners garage. Every where you look this car is very clean. It was the Both Owners pride and joy as they where both very involved in the National TC Owners Club. We purchased it from the 2nd owner directly, he would start and drive it every couple of months. In 1990 they changed the engine to 3.0L. V6 which is much less problematic, also offered the interior in the black which look s much more timeless. A couple of small things that really make the 1990 and 1991 the years to buy. These cars are finally getting some talk about how undervalued they are. They were handbuilt bodies designed by Maserati. It comes with all the Booklets in the Glovebox along with the original buyers order, detailed service records long with a couple of three ring binders with tons of information along with other paperwork including the original buyer's order for the car. These Cars are finally being sought after and are beginging to rise in value and awareness. A Completely Original TC Maserati that is in this Near Mint condition, is getting hard to find and with the low mileage. It has always been very well maintained and cared for, and has always been pampered and never abuse, and it had to have been garaged it's entire life. These cars are beginning to have have collector status but stil be a Fun and Inexpensive Weekend Toy. The Exterior: is in very very nice condition. The Beautiful Soft Yellow Paint, I believe is all Original Paint, has great shine and depth with very very minor scratches or rock chips or very small door dings, visible only under very close inspection (Really none). The car has never been in an accident. This TC also comes with the Factory Alloy Wheels with very good matching Michelin tires, that are 90%. The Soft Top is perfect not sure if it has ever been used. The Fabric looks like it has never been wet and this is the original top. Just an example of how this car car was treated like something very special. The Interior: is also in very nice condition with really no wear. Very good Condition and is completely stock. The Handsewn Leather Dash is in great condition(No Shrikage) and still has the Factory Radio(Infinity Sound). The carpet with Factory Floor Mats and Leather Seats show very little wear. The dash is flawless. The entire interior is in fabulous condition. The pictures do not do this T/C Maserati, justice, it is better in person. This Car runs and drives Very Well. It has good power and drives tight. The Transmission shifts smooth, this makes this car a real pleasure to drive. The A/C was just redone(Receipt Included) and works great as does everything on the car even the Power Antenna. There may be cheaper ones out there but they are not like this TC. This is not restored this is a beautiful Original car that has been pampered its entire Life. This is the quality that goes up first and the most in value. This is a very well cared for TC Maserati, with Low Mileage, and in Beautiful Condition, makes this a "DON'T MISS OPPORTUNITY"! Below is breif History and Evelution of the Maserati TC and some of the production numbers for the Yellow TC's. There are several web sites you can visit for more information. Prodution numbers are as follows for the Yellow TC Yellow TC's 1989-965 1990-474 1991-304Total-1743 The Chrysler TC by Maserati was another joint venture among many in Chrysler's history during the 1980's. The Chrysler TC was the product of a joint venture between Chryler and Maserati made possible by old friends Lee Iacocca and Alejandoro DeTomaso. Previously, this relationship was associated with the DeTomaso Pantera, marketed by Lincoln Mercury dealers when Iacocca, the "father of the Mustang", was still sitting tall in the saddle at Ford Motor Company. A few years later, Iacocca had moved to Chrysler and DeTomaso gained control of Maserati. In 1978, Chrysler purchased five percent of Maserati and Iococca asked DeTomaso to produce a car to be called the "Q Coupe". An agreement was struck in 1984 to create an "exceptional sport coupe". A prototype was constructed by 1986 and Chrysler began to tease the public, going so far as to print a five page brochure for dealers and stockholders promoting the "SC" or Sport Coupe Built by Maserati. Details were sparce, although mention was made of a 16 valve Detomaso Turbo engine with horsepower and torque specifications to be determined later. By 1988, Chrysler was hyping what was now called "Chrysler's Turbo Convertible Built by Maserati". Literature handed out at the 1988 Chicago Auto Show included an 800 number for additional information and specifications for the Maserati 16 valve engine. In late January of 1989, Chrysler Vice President Joseph A. Campana's signature was on a letter mailed to potential customers announcing that production had begun on "an exciting new luxury sport coupe: Chrysler's TC by Maserati". Enclosed was a priority delivery form that was to be completed by buyers and presented to one of 312 selected dealers before the end of February to assure delivery of an 89 model. A limited number of colors combinations were made available to those participating in the early order program. A TC could be ordered with a Royal Cabernet Pearl Coat exterior and a choice of Ginger or Bordeaux leather interiors. A Light Yellow or Exotic Red Clear Coat exterior with the Ginger leather interior could also be specified. My 1989 TC was Exotic Red, a most proper color for a car with an Italian heritage. Exactly 7300 examples were produced for the 1989 through 1991 model years, although unsold TCs were available from dealers for sometime thereafter and final closeout pricing was many thousands of dollars less than the manufacturer's suggested list price. Over the course of its production, the TC was offered with three different engines: Chrysler's well-known 2.2L Intercooled Turbo II with a 3-speed auto, Maserati's 2.2L with a 5-speed, and Mitsubishi's 3.0 V-6 with the 4-speed auto that has been placed in many Chrysler vehicles. 1.
