This auction is for a 2000 Dodge Durango RT 5.9L 360, All Wheel Drive, 2 tone leather, fully loaded including 3rd row seat, tow package, K&N intake system, flowmaster single exhaust, not too loud, sounds great! Truck is strong as a bull! Lot's of torque! Issues are: 1.Transmission is sluggish shifting into 2nd gear when cold but does shift with no slipping and it will go into 3rd, however once it warms up it will not shift unless you let off the gas or sometimes won't shift up. A quick google search resulted in a diagnosis as simple as a pair of shift solenoids that seem to be a common problem with these Dodge's. There is actually a video online of how to fix it yourself by just dropping the pan replacing solenoids and putting it back together without trans removal! Ebay has the new solenoids for around $100 shipped. Ok that is the most important issue to mention. 2.There is rust on the front bumper that I have never seen before happen and can't figure it out but it's there, see pics. Also a touch of rust on the rear tailgate. Chassis and the rest of the body are solid and is actually in great shape other than some normal dings here and there. There are no check engine lights, that I would expect since it is an electronic transmission that detects faults and set's a check engine light but since the solenoids are still working but not the way they should, I suspect that is why it's not setting a code. You can drive it the way it is however, it should be fixed right away before driving every day or going on a road trip, You can drive it home the way it is if your local but would suggest towing if your long distance. 169,452 highway miles and still runs strong! The title reads exempt since it's over 10 years old. Currently PA inspected. Everything works as it should and there are no issues to mention other than above. Air blows but could use some Freon it's not real cold. I am a used vehicle wholesale dealer and this was a new car dealership trade in.
