Clear coat peeling or missing on horizontal surfaces and some primer showing through on hood. Interior upholstering worn and stained. Overhead cloth coming apart in some places. Will need all new tires but okay now. Crack in the windshield. Drivers side window switch broken but works. Normal engine oil leakage but there is some. I cleaned but still probably some sand in carpet. Smells like crayons because one melted behind the back seat under the rear window. Radio works but not very good. Needs windshield wipers. Mechanically sound and runs great. Normal wear on vacuum hoses and may need attention. I have installed a new timing belt about 2000 miles ago and changed the pulleys and water pump at the same time. A little bit of foam blows out of the vent once but A/C works great. Also new K&N air filter, cabin filter, and all general maintenance items. Gets about 30-35 mpg.Regular oil changes. Brake pads changed and little to no vibration while braking. Little to no rust, just dusty. I am sure one of the CV joint boots is cracked if not both might need replacement. It is not a expensive fix but can be difficult with little experience or special tools and equipment. Now, on the upside. I Previously owned five other TDI's that I fixed and ran well for years after. This one has mostly cosmetic issues great project or first car. I love the car but my wife is making me sell before we move. I drove to work back and forth everyday when I didn't take my bicycle for the last three years. It was parked for about a year of the last three because I was gone for work. Tires are okay but are old and you can see some small surface cracking. If I don't sell I will keep and fix up for myself. I have had no mechanical problems whatsoever, I just took preventative measures to ensure it would last about another 50-100k miles no problem. I can provide some knowledge and places to order parts to fix most of the problems described. It doesn't have a lot of power compared to gas models and sounds a bit louder, if you've never driven a Jetta TDI, but it makes up for it when you don't have to go to fill up the fuel tank as often as everyone else. This car is being sold "AS IS" look carefully and ask questions if in doubt or arrange to see the vehicle, but only serious buyer only. All sales are final. It doesnt matter if a tire goes flat a mile after you start driving. I am being honest about any issues I am aware of but cannot foresee everything. I am usually very busy and I dont have a lot of time. Shipping is not included. It is buyers responsibility to hire and arrange shipping and I can work with them to be there when they arrive.
