1996 LEXUS LX450The second owner, an 85 year old gentleman (true story), purchased this vehicle on 4/3/2002 with 58812 miles on it from Mossy Chevrolet in Encinitas, CA (dealership is no longer there, building was sold to the city), where the original owner traded the vehicle in, originally from Carlsbad/Palm Desert. The vehicle has been driven only 56793 miles in 13 years, that's only 4368 miles per year. It is all original, including paint, which is in very good to excellent condition (for the age), with only clear coat coming off body moldings underneath both rear doors (see pic). The body is excellent with no previous paint work/body work with all VIN stickers on all body panels. This vehicle has always been in Southern California since new and I doubt it has ever seen snow or a dirt trail. The Michelin tires have 7 to 8/32 tread life left, however, the tires are old and are cracking due to age. The front brakes are 6mm and the rear brakes 8mm. These figures are from Toyota where the vehicle was just serviced and an oil change was performed, at that time everything checked out well other than the need for new wiper blades and the emergency brake needing adjustment. This vehicle drives like new, with no issues, it starts, idles, shifts as new. The steering, alignment, tire wear are perfect. There is no transmission whining, differential noise, wheel noise, etc. All functions are working well, including all power windows, antenna, moon roof, with the exception of both front power seats. Both power seats seem to stick sometimes when moving them forward and backward, the recline and lumbar work fine, however, they need assistance when adjusting them. The radio and temp controls work excellent and the vehicle has ice cold A/C. The 19 year old non-smoker interior is excellent (for age), with the exception of the leather wearing on both front seats and ripped on drivers seat. The rear seat is excellent and the 3rd row seats shows as new. The vehicle has had floor mats since new, so carpet is in very good shape. Interior is all original. The body is in excellent condition, there is 0 rust and under carriage is clean.You can fly out and drive this vehicle home anywhere, it will go another 200k miles if properly serviced.
