Vehicle Detail
Auction is for what recently was a very pristine truck. I purchased the truck on 06/11/2013 with 25,257 miles on it. The truck was leveled, equipped with custom wheels, tires, spray in bed liner and remote start. On 03/15/2014 the truck was involved in a single vehicle, very low speed accident when it slid sideways into a fence and utility pole causing extensive damage to the right front passenger door, door pillars, roof, right wind shield corner, floor area, right rear corner of bumper and a very small dent in the top right rear rail on bed. Airbags or other safety equipment did not deploy. My insurance company's repair strategy was to replace the cab. Being unable to locate the exact same 2010 year donor cab within a reasonable repair time frame, the insurance company opted instead to total the truck and settle the claim. I retained the salvage and have used the truck a handful of times on my property and three times, 30 miles round trip into town and back getting the initial repair estimates, while driving with the right side broken windshield and right side doors strapped shut. The truck starts, runs excellent and drives. It has never been taken off road or used to tow. It was used simply for pleasure. It is now and has always been kept in heated storage. My aim was to wait patiently to locate a exact donor cab, same model, year, color and equipment including sun roof and to make the repairs myself. Unfortunately, finding and ultimately purchasing an exact match complete cab, including color and sunroof these past few months has been difficult. Several same year donor vehicles were located, some with the correct color and without the sunroof, some with the sunroof and the incorrect color. Some salvage vehicles with the correct color and the sunroof, but with rolled or otherwise damaged cabs. It is now time to move on and sell this truck, so I can purchase another one. Successful bidder and purchaser will be responsible for arranging transport. As previously stated, the truck runs and drives for easier loading. Full payment required within 7 days of Auction close.
