1972 Volkswagen beetle, there only original once… The Beetle that is being sold here is an original southern California car that has never left the warm southern California weather and has never seen the salted east coast roads, It is a 100% rust free, accident free example, it is considered a true survivor in every aspect, this original low mileage (61,600) beetle in excellent condition, never restored it is 100% original, a collectors dream. Sold new from Econo Motors in Riverside California on 11/16/1972, The beetle has had documentation since new, the original warranty booklet with service inspections are stamped, I will list the miles and services performed later in the body of this as with photos of the booklet in the photo section. In 1984 The owner passed away when the car had aprox 40,000 miles, the car was put in the garage and covered, it was exercised another 20,000 miles over the next 31 years. The present condition of the car is excellent, a recent complete service and this beetle runs like it did new in 1972. There is something about a car that has never been restored, they drive tighter the doors shut tighter and everything about the car is just far better than a car that has been restored. The white original exterior is in wonderful condition look at the shine too the paint, two very small dings to the front passenger fender as seen in the photos, all glass is original and still carriers the VW logos on all corners of each piece of glass, the rubbers are in good original condition with only the smallest amounts of dryness to them, keeping the originality of the car was important to the prior owner. The bumpers carry excellent chrome with the front bumper only having a small ding as seen in the photo. I have listed many photos so even the most discriminating buyer will see the car for what it is. The car still carries its original Blue and Yellow California license plates and has the original paper dealer plates in the front bonnet. Interior is the original dark blue vinyl tex, excellent um marked condition, original floor carpets also in excellent shape, dash is um marked and has never has a radio since new or an antenna installed, all gauges are bright and non-sun faded, seatbelts are the original front and rear, rear shelf tray is not lifting nor sun-faded, headliner is nice with only a little yellowing to the rear around the back window. The car retains its original motor, there are no leaks, drips, smoking or any other out of the normal issues with the car. It runs super smooth even at 80MPH highway speeds, alignment is excellent, no brake pulling, syncros are crisp and precise. All fluids are new and the car just went under a recent major service so it is ready for its new owner.
