Not recommended for kids or idiots. by Milesdog5150 from Fair Oaks, CA | May 16, 2012 Poor man's Ferrari. If you can find one, buy it. Trust me. If you're a car guy, you already know about MR2s. The 1st and 3rd gen are tight sports cars similar in handling to the Miata, but the 2nd gen Turbo is a SCARY FAST rocket sled. Too much power. It will break loose if you let up mid-turn. Report inappropriate content Great Car by Driver1 from Baltimore | November 5, 2010 Love the car - The engine is a Camry engine, so you get Camry reliability with Ferrari looks and handling. Only downside is you get Camry speed too. The car is not a drag racer. Get the turbo version for that. MPG is about 28 - not bad but not as good as either the MK I or MK III MR 2.
