Selling a beautiful Cafe Racer stye 1965 with an extremely rare alloy racing tank.. The bike was bought from a guy in CT who rebuilt the engine and re grimes the tailpipes. The bike has clip on bars, and Cafe racer aftermarket single cowl seat. I rode the bike for three years and as you know vintage bikes come with problems that go with bikes 50 years old. This last summer It bag am having starting problems right as I lost the lease to my garage and cannot deal with working on a bike on the side of the street in NYC. IMPORTANT: The ONLY problems with the bike are problems with the old LUcas lighting harness and wiring problems. The owner chopped a couple inches off the tail to fit the aftermarket seat . THE BIKE IS A HEADTURNER. I bought the bike for 6k and even if you bought the bike for reserve and put 1000 into it way more than required for electrical work you could make a couple thousand. I just need to get rid of it as I have to move it back in forth because of street cleanjng rules in NYC. Also speedometer is for looks and non functioning and small year in fork cover but that's a 60 dollar fix.The entire time I road it . it would start on second to third kick. I am being honest that if your looking for a complete 65 bonneville with all original parts this isn't the bike. If your looking for SICK cafe racer that will have people staring and asking questions and your willing to work in the electronics .... THIs BIKE IS A STEAL!!! The bike is AS-IS but I can say I'm selling the bike for wellunder half in bought it for and would NEVER sell this bad boy if I still had the garage... Take advantage of my predicament and timing.If summer came a little quicker I may keep the nike so someone snatch it quick for bargain price ...frame , exhaust, carb, motor, forks all in working order !!!! if u know old electronics this is your bike to fix!!! I'm also including a seatfrom a 2006 scrambler for free as bonus and the Haynes Service Manual for this year Triumph..HAPPY BIDDING! CLER TITLE/ registration IN HAND--- Also with a bike this age you do not need seperate title . The title is TRANSFERABLE registration so alll it requires is two signatures and you can register at your local dmv simply with this!
