Vehicle Detail
For Sale: 1941 Willys Coupe This 1941 Willys coupe is being re-listed as a fixed price item. I know little about the mechanical details of this Willys, this was my father's car and project and became mine after his passing. My father had owned this hot rod since 1975, it was an ex-gasser turned street rod in the late 70s early 80s. By the late 80s it was torn down and a re-build began. This rebuild included a boxed frame with completely re-worked front frame section, firewall reinforcements, independent front suspension (Mustang II I believe). The rear was switched over to a mid 80s Corvette style independent rear suspension. The engine was swapped out for a Big Block Chevrolet, Dyers Super Charger, twin Holley Carbs and Billet Specialties air cleaner. Pulley system is a March serpentine style belt drive with AC, no P/S - Vintage Air unit in the vehicle. The headers are custom built and run through a set of flow master mufflers. All exhaust is Jet-Hot coated. The frame and suspension is painted blue in color as well as the floor of the body, dark blue. Before his passing in 2013 the Willys was a running and moveable, definitely NOT drivable. Electrical and plumbing to start the engine is there, however a good inspection and run through would be necessary after sitting for a time. The interior of the Willys is the least complete part of the project. Included items: billet steering column, billet pedal assembly, Dakota Digital dash, Ron Francis or Painless wiring harness (can not remember brand), and mild stereo system. Dash is fiberglass, Vintage Air unit and new fuel tank are located behind seat under package tray. The doors have been made Suicide with late model exterior handles and billet interior pulls, located to center console, power windows installed. Body mods are minimal - louvered hood, suicide doors, flush mounted gas cap, fiberglass rear fenders to accommodate a wider wheel tire but not sacrifice the trunk space. Custom steel running boards.. I also have front and rear original bumpers, grill, headlight bezels and buckets, rear and side glass. This is the information I have, please feel free to ask any questions you like - I will try to provide an answer as best I can. Currently the Willys is in storage, I would need some time to coordinate a time if a serious bidder would like to view the car. Thank you for viewing.
