This is a recently completed, but never raced, Mk I Lotus Cortina that was built for a very discerning, cost is no object, client. Unfortunately, upon completion, a serious change in his medical condition has forced the owner to cancel his plans for vintage racing and concentrate on other matters. We are pleased to offer one of the most thoroughly comprehensive builds of one of the most exciting and historic race cars of a bygone era. The seating was designed and installed to accommodate a driver over 6 ft. and over 225 lbs. Features include a proven design 6 point roll cage, new Sparco racing seat, harness and window safety net. The following is an overview of the mechanical specs of the car: 4 cyl. DOHC 1600 c.c. Compression 11.5:1 Ross pistons, Dome cc 9.2 Apprx. 160 HP Petronix ignition, Flamethrower coil, limiter, Taylor wires. Clutch disc is an uprated Dave Bean 8 ½ inch solid center Pressure Plate upreated Dave Bean 907 Q 0119 8 Gal fuel cell, Aeroquip lines and fittings, Holley Red pump Two Weber 40 DCOE carbs-36mm Chokes. Pegasus filters. Gearbox is stock semi-close ratio Stock Rear axle housing 3.90 Quaife limited slip, Moser axles. MacPherson Strut fronts, Special Koni inserts for 550 lb springs 1” Anti roll bar front. Inserts, springs, mounts and bar all sourced from Allen Henderson racing. Gaz adjustables in rear. New VTO wheels 13x6 with Hoozier 205/60D Street T.D. Battery is Odyssey Gell – RDE Gear reduction Starter.
