Vehicle Detail
1969 Camaro Z10 Pace Car We're offering this car for sale from my Collection. This is a very rare car with 67,163 original miles, heavily documented with a very unique history. Please read the whole description as I have a lot to describe. Motor: Original 350/300HP - TO424HB,partial vin 1N6369 stamped by the oil filter. Motor was rebuilt 4k miles ago. Transmission: Original to the car also numbers matching TH350 also rebuilt 4k miles ago. Rear End: Original to the car, numbers match 12 bolt. Air Conditioning: Yes the A/C works, the compressor was rebuilt in 2006. Carburetor: Very rare numbers matching "Carter built" Rochester 702902 DH dated K8. Most carburetors on these cars were built by Rochester which makes this one a very rare piece. Intake manifold: 3927184 date c-20-9 Original to the motor. Heads: Originals 3947041 date coded correct to the car. Alternator: 1100843 dated 9-b-27 I have this part off the car as a core to rebuild, took me years to find this correct part. Distributor: Original to the car 1111489 9-d-17. Rally Wheels: Original to this car all dated 10-68 All have the same dates. Tires: Are brand new with about 1k miles, Vintage Good Year Polyglas f70-14 correct for this vehicle. Trim Tag: This vehicle brings the "very rare 04L date on the trim tag" When was the last time you saw a 1969 Z10 Pace Car with such date on the trim tag? The 04L date was believed to be an error from the plant on which the vehicle was being built. Disc brakes: I have the original 2 piece rotors that came on this car! Correct original ones to the car. They're off the car but will be given to the new owner. History: All the information in this section was verified by the original owner which still lives. 1st Owner was a woman from Venezuela that was studying here in America back in 1969, she was around 20 years old at the time, her name "Haydee Obedente" Mrs Obedente purchased the vehicle for 3,946 "Cash Purchase" from "Tom Benson Chevrolet" on January 18 1969. To avoid taxation she bought the car under her friend's name "Simon Tenoro" which resided at that time in Washington DC. The point was to keep the car under Mr Tenoro's name for one year and by doing so Mrs Obedente would export the car to Venezuela tax free. On March 6 1970 this 1969 Camaro Z10 was exported to Venezuela by Mr Tenoro as a favor to Mrs Obedente. This is probably the only Z10 Pace Car to be known to have resided all or most of its life in South America. The car resided in Venezuela from 1970 to 2006. Venezuelan car enthusiast "Douglas Felic" came across Mrs Obedente in the early 2000's which was in her 60's and still with good health. The car was stored by Mrs Obedente in her garage from 1970 to 2004.She would not sell the car to Mr Felic until one day she decided to just sell it to him, she just got tired of this guy asking her over and over to sell the car to him. The car was in very good condition for two reasons, South America is dry plus this lady would keep the car in a garage. At around 2004-2005 Mr Felic restored the car, I have 2 photo albums with pictures of the restoration. The car was mostly taken apart as you will see on the pictures and whatever needed attention was addressed. Back in that year of 2005 : The car was mostly taken apart, all of the sheet metal is original with the exception of the quarter skins and the trunk floor. The front suspension was replaced, shocks, bushings, etc. Motor and transmission got rebuilt with it's original parts. The 712 deluxe interior has new door panels, carpet, headliner seat upholstery , all the rest was in very nice conditions like the original dash, rosewood trim, seat belts, etc. Vehicle has a vintage looking radio, I have the "original" to the car also. the vehicle has power antenna which at your preference you may change it or leave it. The RS headlights were upgraded to electric which is awesome however all the vacuum equipment is in place. The car after the restoration was finished was brought back to the USA in the year 2006 by Mr Luis Aguir" the nephew of Mr Felic which lives here in Miami Florida. I purchased the car from him 8 years ago, it's been my baby since then. We have tons of documentation - Original bills of sale Protecto plate which is in like new conditions. Original title or a copy, I can't really tell. Original invoices, All original insurance contracts from the day it was purchased. Notes from Mr "Guevarra" the salesman to Mrs Obedente "hand written" in excellent conditions. I have 2 parking tickets dating back to 1969 in brand new condition, These items are gold to a true Collector I mean who else would keep things like these?!!I'm sure I have more things I'm forgetting, just look at the pictures of the documentation I can't lay everything on my storage room!! From Venezuela: I have front and back black plates in great conditions, All documents from when the car was imported to Venezuela in 1970. I have like 4 brand new stikers for the plates dating 1986 ? 87? 88? I mean who keeps things like these? I have registrations from the 70's 80's. I'm forgetting things I know it, really as a collector I've never had a car with so many documents and neat things. This is your opportunity to own a very rare documented car with a lot of history behind it! We were about to contact Jerry Mcneish to get the car authenticated and taken to Barret Jackson as one of the rarest 1969 Camaro Z10's in existence, however we will give it a try first on E bay do to the fact that we have a busy schedule. The car just needs a paint job, the body is in good conditions with minor flaws to fix. When I bought this car it only had 64,000 miles and now it only has 67,163 Only driven around 3k miles in 8 years! I haven't driven the car for some time "work reasons" I just bought a brand new fuel sending unit, fuel pump, carb rebuilt, clean the lines, etc. New owner should replace spark plugs and fine tune the carb. Motor and transmission are still like new with very little miles since the rebuild. "The car does not" need a restoration it just needs a fresh coat of paint! Vehicle is sold As-IS with right to inspect prior to buying the car. Please ask questions, we demand serious car collectors with good feedback, you can call me 305-389-2334 Ben. If I remember some things about the car and it's history I will post it!! Thank You
