1996 Mazda MX-5 Miata Parts Car Up for sale is a 1996 Mazda Miata with the popular equipment package. I bought the car as a beater with a bad engine, which I replaced. Clutch throwout bearing went shortly after that, and I never replaced it. When that second engine went a few thousand miles later (Lost a coil pack, limped it home, washed the #3 cylinder, destroyed the ring), I decided just to use it for parts. I got what I wanted, and figured that I would part it out in full. As usual, life happened, and so I don't need another project. Car has 135K miles, engine is about the same. The engine still runs, but not well at all. It also burns a remarkable amount of oil. If you are planning on fixing this, plan on buying a new motor and a throwout bearing, at the very least. Body is in rough shape, but there's no rust. Has apparently been in at least one fender bender up front. There is overspray from where the previous owner plasti-dipped the hood, but that should come off if you really wanted it to. Suspension is aftermarket, and I believe that the car has frame braces. Wheels are the chrome ones from a 1994 M-Edition. What you see is what you get. Here's how I would look at it. Reserve price is reasonable for the equipment contained. I've parted out several of these cars. I could easily get $1,000 just for the Differential, driveshaft, and back axles. I'm not expecting to get what the parts are worth, but I'm also not going to give it away. I will consider cash offers, and will be willing to let it go for less that way.
