The car's VIN is not recognized as the vehicle was never intended to be sold in the US market. Selling for a very rare 1997 Toyota 4Runner Hilux Surf with a low 107k miles. This car has origins in Japan, JDM, and therefore is right hand drive (RHD) and ideal for those in the Postal Service looking for a mail delivery vehicle. The sale of the vehicle will include an Ohio title that should transfer to any state except California. I will scan a copy of the title and email to the winning bidder before any money exchanges hands. No import paperwork comes with the vehicle as it was purchased by current owner on US soil. I just finished a 3,000 mile cross country trip from Seattle to Columbus, Ohio and this truck is mechanically in perfect condition. Automatic transmission pulls away and shifts on steep hills just fine. Engine does not leak fluids or smoke. Engine starts perfectly in single digit temperatures. Absolutely nothing needs to be done with the exception of possibly the radio. The FM band is not set for North America. A pic below lists the current odometer readin in KM's, not miles. The conversion is .62. Cosmetically, the truck looks to be in good condition and the pics do a wonderful job of displaying this. While no car is completely rust free, this one is as good as it gets having spent most of its life in Japan with a mild winter climate. Once arriving in North America, the truck was completely rust proofed (see pics). There are some very light scrapes and scratches that are consistent with the age/mileage of the truck as well as a light dent in on the driver's side of the back bumper (see pic below). But overall, the truck shows very very well and gets much attention. Inside, there is a very small cigarette burn in the passenger seat about the size of a pencil eraser. I'm a non-smoker myself, and cannot smell anything that would indicate the truck was smoked in. If there's time during the week, I'll have the fabric repaired. Tires are decent but would recommend new rubber. I would guess there would be about 15,000 miles left before it becomes unsafe. I'm a collector of rare, exotic, and unique cars and have sold many on eBay but to clarify, I'm not a dealer. I can provide free airport transportation from CMH, but please make arrangements well in advance. I do travel quite a bit and want to ensure I can be there. Delivery is available but contact me first before bidding to get an estimate. If you do wish for me to deliver the vehicle, the winning bidder will need to take out the insurance policy on the truck prior to delivery. I can overnight the title in advance of delivery if need be. For shipping quotes with commercial carriers, I have been very pleased with Uship dot com in the past and would recommend it for a quote. Accepted forms of payment are cash (in person of course) and wire transfer only. I do not accept paypal (although you do need an account to bid on the car). A $2,000 deposit is due within 48 hours of the close of the auction with the balance due in 7 days or at time of pick up. eBay messages also come straight to my Smart phone, so I can respond very quickly.
