You are bidding on a 1967 Meteor Rideau 500 rolling chassis. This car was build in Canada by the Meteor sub brand of Ford Motor Company. It is the twin of the Ford Galaxie 500 and shares many of the features of the Galaxie. Most of the differences are in the trim package of the car. The car is missing a few trim pieces as well as most everything in the engine compartment. This particular car would best be suited as a resto-mod. It is in fair mechanical condition for a 1967 vehicle but will require many hours and parts to turn it back into the gem it can be. There is some rust bubbling on some parts of the body and a hole on the underside of the frame behind the rear tire but paint was redone some time in the past and is not faded. I bought this car in 2010 and swapped in a 2011 Ford Coyote crate motor mated to a Tremec t-56 transmission however the car is being sold as a roller only with NO engine or transmission. The motor mount ears, firewall, and transmission tunnel have been modified to accept a modular drivetrain but I will include the original mounts. I had started but never finished a rear disc brake conversion so the brakes will have to be reconnected. The stock drums are still in place. The car has a the big block rear end with a limited slip differential and a panhard bar added for lateral support. The fuel tank has also been modified with a small sump for the fuel pump feed and a return fitting as well. It was cleaned out at the same time. The interior will require a complete restoration as dash and panels have many cracks and carpet has been removed. The interior is currently mostly disassembled. There are also some misc spare parts as well. This car is being sold where is/ as is with no warranty expressed or implied. The buyer will be responsible for any pickup or shipping. They were not with the car when I purchased it. There is also some rust on the floorboards but there is minimal damage from it.
