This VW Bus was purchased in Southern California from a VW Mechanic who kept it in top shape . The previous owner and author Martin Gray purchased this bus for his travels to the worlds sacred sites of Central and South America . Taking this 1977 VW Bus (aka Dusty Magic Bus ) on a quest which spanned over 14 countries of Central and South America . A journey to places we can only dream of going someday . The mechanical condition of this bus is very good . The reliable 2.0L air cooled flat 4 engine is still completely stock with all its fuel injection in tact and running beautiful . The transmission is solid snd shifts smooth , front end and brakes are also in great shape . This bus is a fantastic driver and can go anywhere as that has proven already . The body is amazing , I tell you you will be hard pressed to find a bus that is more solid than this one . The rockers are not even thinking of rusting . and are beautiful original factory paint . Overall the bus is still in 98% Of its factory Original Paint . It has had a couple bumps in its life that were repaired and paint matched . They were done long ago probably early in this buses life and do show there age . But its all still holding on there well enough to not have to worry .Battery tray rock solid , floors are solid ,front floors have a little surface but its just that . This bus has some great painting's by professional artists ,many of which are signed art pieces . Our earth has many places ,temples, structures that are simply amazing , This rolling piece of art will always put smiles on peoples faces as you drive around town . The interior of the bus is completely original . Front seats show some typical wear for a vehicle of this age , but are still in good shape . The rear of the bus has a Dealer installed Zbed kit . Allowing the rear bench seat to fold out to a full sized bed , Also has the pad . Making this bus perfect for that weekend getaway in the summer . Or on any roadtrip you many want to take . No need for a hotel when there is a perfect comfortable bed right in the back. The bus does have curtain rods installed , so putting up a set of curtains would be a breeze . The headliner is in good shape ,door panels have some wear . But thats to be expected from any older vehicle . This bus does come with a new set of BRM wheels , But i do have the originals that are painted silver with like new tires if someone would prefer the stock look . The yakima roof racks (do not) go with the bus . I will be using those on my other bus for kayaks and paddle boards . On the rear hatch of the bus in spanish it say's " A spiritual journey to sacred sites in fourteen countries of Central and South America .
