Vehicle Detail

Ultra rare Willys MZ-1 radio jeep serial #270845 No title bill of sale only First contract radio jeep built for the USMC during WW2 There is quite a bit of info on the internet concerning this variant. Take a good look at all the pictures. There are pictures dealing with all the things that make it an MZ-1 radio jeep other than the equipment of course, but that will be the fun part for the new owner. Now getting to the jeep itself. Even with the back panel cut out this tub is in better condition than most we see. The front floor only needs a minimal rust repair and the rear is in very good condition. Wheelhouse and tool boxes are in exceptional condition. Please note the holes you see in the rear floor and the wheel housing are for the various pieces of equipment that make this a radio jeep. The original cast iron generator mounting plate is still attached to the transmission hump and has a sheetmetal plate over the opening for the PTO driven generator belt. It is the only piece remaining of the original radio setup. Fuel tank well is still intact and needing only minor repair. Fenders are not rusted out and only need a couple of dents removed and new frame mounting tabs. Firewall and dash are not hacked nor the transmission hump. Drive line is complete with later MB engine, T84 transmission and D18 transfercase with all of the E-brake parts attached Nice MB radiator, correct generator, voltage regulator and starter airfilter brackets are present, but no air filter or carburetor. Complete with original front bumper and the best bumper gusset's we have ever had. Frame is in fantastic condition. Frame horns are perfect and rear cross member ends are bent in, otherwise it is great condition also has the pintle hook with eyebolts. Pictures will show the front frame horns with correct holes for the tow hooks and the mounting holes on the bumper for the lifting rings as well as the holes on rear crossmember for the lifting rings. We've done our homework on this rare jeep now you can do yours. Question call 208-704-1755 No title bill of sale only
