1987 Chevrolet R10 Custom Deluxe This is a pristine, original, rust free Texas truck. The miles are actual and original to the truck and read 51,349. It was purchased new on 06-01-1987 and belonged to Stephen F. Austin University here in Texas. They have a very stringent maintenance program and that is quite visible in the condition of this truck, all the way around. It was used for lite maintenance duties. The University has a strict policy against smoking in vehicles, therefore this truck has never been smoked in. It has never been wrecked or had any major damage. It is also rust free and never had it. Driving this truck is much like driving a new 1987 Chevrolet R10. It's just an exceptional truck. It runs great, just as it should. It does have the usual Chevrolet occasion valve guide seepage that is apparent upon start up after it has been sitting for some time. If you know these motors, that is normal. It is minor. The motor does not smoke or burn oil and there is no sign of blow by, just as you might expect from such a low mileage motor. This pickup has had one repaint due to the fact that for whatever reason, Chevrolet did not put much paint at all on the white trucks. It is the original white and the paint condition is very nice.BodyExcellent!The body is rust free, never had it. It is excellent overall with only a few minor flaws such as a few very minor pings on the hood and under the rear window that don't show up on camera. The only hint that the truck was ever used is the bed floor where there are dents and dings that still remain. The appearance of this truck is so strong that it easily overcomes these things and all one really see's is what a nice original pickup it is, just as it appears in the photos. Interior Excellent!The seat, door panels, sun visors, dash and floor mat are excellent. There is a crack on the lower left of the Custom Deluxe panel on the front of the dash. GlassExcellent!The glass is in beautiful condition with only the usual small scratches on the side windows.RubberExcellent!Floor PansExcellent!FrameExcellent!The frame is rust free and very nice, just as in the photos. It has been cleaned, painted and shows beautifully. The original assembly line markings are still in there.SummaryThis is a truck that is road worthy and can be driven anywhere with confidence in my opinion. You can fly in and drive it home. However, I will state that since it is an older vehicle, things can go wrong.It is a very good looking truck and with one look you can see that it is in pristine condition.
