Specifications: 1997 Ford F-150 Pickup, XL, 2-Door Regular Cab, Ford 4.2 Liter V-6 Gas Engine, Automatic Transmission w/Overdrive, Hydraulic Brakes, Spring Suspension, Air Conditioning, Heat, Defrost, AM/FM Stereo, Manual Mirrors, Manual Windows, Manual Locks, Manual Bench Vinyl Seat, Rubber Floor Mat, Camper Bed Cover, P235/70R-16 Tires, 139” Wheelbase, GVWR – 5,500#, GAWR – Front – 2,800# / Rear – 2,900#, VIN: 1FTDF1723VNC89608, 159,567 Miles. The photos were taken the day of the listing, January 17, 2015, and show the pickup in its current condition! This pickup was owned by a local government agency until a few weeks ago, we purchased this truck and several more items from them, turning some into cash. It was replaced with a new truck approximately 6 months ago because of age, not because of issue or problems! We purchased it directly from the agency not from a broker, dealer or auction, picked it up about 90 miles from our location and drove it back with no problems. The truck runs and drives fine, engine, transmission and brakes work properly! Several negative things to mention, first of all it is has been sitting for about 6 months and could use a good servicing, the driver’s seat is ripped/torn bad, the driver’s side rear quarter is scratched and dented above the tire and in front of it, looks like it was swiped by a large tire or piece of rubber, most of it will most likely buff out, the passenger rear quarter behind the tire has (2) large scratches, the rear bumper is bent bad, bent all the way down (brackets bent), can be straightened but selling bent as you see in photos, the plastic piece on top of the bumper is missing but the bumper will be fine when brackets are straightened, the tires are in good condition and can be seen in the photos, the air bag light is on, goes off from time to time but comes back on, not sure why but it is on, the center caps on the rims are missing, you can still see where the government decals were on the doors, should buff off with some rubbing compound but can see, the camper cover rear gate will not stay up without holding, other than that truck is good to go! It has been in South LA since new at the government location, no storm damage, underwater or anything like that! Our guys cleaned it, checked it out mechanically and took photos for this listing, nothing more than what you see has been done to it~ As stated it cranks, runs and drives, will do the job and is roadworthy, please take the time to look at all photos and videos of this unit and understand it is almost 20 years old, has over 150k miles on it and has several things that are not perfect but are all mentioned, this is not a new truck but still has some life left in it!
