This auction is for a 1999 VW Passat GLS 1.8L Turbo, 5 speed, car is very clean in and out and is a Suburban New Car Dealer trade, I am a used vehicle wholesaler. Engine and transmission are in great shape, however the water pump appears to have just started to leak and will need to be replaced. You may get away with a sealer but it's not recommended. The engine does not overheat. *****CAUTION...WILL NEED THE WATER PUMP REPLACED BEFORE DRIVING A LONG DISTANCE AND TOWING IS RECOMMENDED***** I have personally test driven this vehicle (can be driven as long as the anti-freeze is topped off, drips.) and it runs out great, the turbo spools up and the clutch grabs good. It was being driven by the previous owner as-is prior to being traded in on a new vehicle. The windshield is cracked right where the rear view mirror goes and the mirror is not in place but included. The check engine light is on and I am assuming it is because the low coolant light comes on when the anti-freeze in the holding tank runs low and sets a code. It is missing the fuse cover on the side of the dashboard. I AM A WHOLESALER AND HAND PICK AND ROAD TEST EVERY VEHICLE PERSONALLY BEFORE LISTING THEM FOR SALE SO WHEN I SAY IT RUNS GOOD, I KNOW IT RUNS GOOD BECAUSE I DRIVE EACH AND EVERY VEHICLE TO AND FROM MY HOME A FEW TIMES BEFORE PUTTING THEM ON EBAY, THE CARS THAT HAVE SERIOUS MECHANICAL ISSUES GO STRAIGHT TO THE DEALERS AUCTION AND NOT SOLD TO THE PUBLIC. (AGAIN, THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN ROAD TESTED, BUT WILL NEED THE WATER PUMP REPLACED BEFORE IT IS ROADWORTHY!!!!) CUSTOMER FEEDBACK AND MY REPUTATION IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ME.
