Hi, I like to start by wishing everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR! I had a great 2014 and hoping to have a better 2015. I am selling my 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 which I received last year as part of a trade deal on another classic car. Previous owner stated the car is a true Super Sport, but I told him without any documentation, its hard to tell. 1969 and up Chevelle SS cars do not have a 138 vin. No paper work or documentation. Let's start with the engine. The engine was rebuilt a few years ago with very little miles on it. The engine suffix code is CTB which is a 1972 396 or 402. Pretty much a stock rebuilt with a 350hp camshaft which sounds great. Flowmaster mufflers with a complete exhaust out the back. The trans is Turbo 400 which feels stock and shifts as it should. The rear end is a 10 bolt unit. Feels like a 3:36 or 3:55, I have not checked for any codes on the rear end. Car has Power steering, power disc brakes, and bucket seats with center console. The carpet and the instrument bezel does show some wear. The body is solid and I was told the car came out of Arkansas. The body was restored a few years ago with new quarter panels, fenders, bumpers, vinyl top, and weatherstrips. The floor pans, trunk, and doors appear to be original without any rust or rot. The wheels are 17" American Racing Torq Thrust II with good tires. Very nice driver for under $20k. I have attached a link to a video on Youtube to get a better feel of the car.
