Vehicle Detail

Vehicle was purchased by my Father-In-Law over 29 years ago. He drove it into the garage and it has not been driven since. My Mother-In-Law is now down sizing and has decided to put this vehicle up for sale. Options/SpecificsVehicle has the shift selector by the steering wheel. Vehicle has intercom front to back. I was told these vehicles were the first to have this.Luggage trunk Seats 5 in rear which includes 2 jump seats RarityFor those that don't know the license plate for a British vehicle stays with the car and never changes. I have attached a picture of the plate on the back of the car. Based on the license plate the vehicle is originally from Norwich. I was contacted by the association for Armstrong Siddeley's in the US and was told that it is 1 of only 2 left in existence. Originally there were only 110 built. Below you can read the email I received concerning its rarity. Dear hairboyspike, I received the following information: From Peter S. Membership Secretary ASOC Ltd Dear Gio I have been able to identify the Limousine you posted on yahoo from the registration number on the tax discs and now with more pictures added, from the plate on the rear of the car. It is a rare Long 17hp limousine from D Batch of 110 vehicles all limousines and limousine landaulettes. Bill Smith writes of this batch from page 326 in his wonderful book. ASOC are only aware of one other landaulette surviving from this batch, it is a very rare Siddeley. UK registration EXO 57 Chassis number U15287 First registered 14th April 1938 Kind regards Peter S. Special Note: This vehicle is for sale in other venues. I reserve the right to sell before this auction ends if the price is right. Thanks for looking Lonnie J. Harner On Jan-04-15 at 19:54:45 PST, seller added the following information: *** I was made aware today that the ignition key is missing. My wifes parents ran a auto recycling business and the key has been misplaced. We do have the keys to unlock the doors. Thanks, Lonnie
