I have owned this truck for about two years and it's time for someone else to enjoy it. The truck is a 1972 highboy with a 360 engine a NP 435 4 speed transmission and a Dana 24 transfer case along with a Dana 44 front and Dana 60 rear axle. The truck has rust in the typical areas for this generation ford truck ( floor pans and cab corners ). The following is a list of things that have been done to this highboy most in the last three months.New alcan leaf springsTransmission rebuild with new third gear4 new tiresDual exhaust Water pumpNew alternatorAll new hosesNew gaskets oil pan, exhaust, intake, heads, valve covers.New carburetor New plugs, plug wires, and coilNew edelbrock valve coversNew tie rod ends and drag linkNew radiator mountsThe steering box was disassembled cleaned and rebuilt. The inner fenders and the radiator mount were sand blasted primed and repainted. This truck is ready for paint and body work or you can drive it now. It starts and runs great and has great power. All lights and gauges work and the inspection is current. Details on transmission rebuild. There is approx 4,000 miles on the rebuild that included 3rd gear new input gear new shifter 4 new u-joints reassure plate, clutch disc,T/O bearing and pilot bearing and gasket set. Total cost was 1,910.00 The alcan leaf springs where about 300.00 a corner or 1,200.00 for all four.The 4 new tires where 750.00 less then 1,000 miles on them.
