I have a nice 1971 Deluxe 7 passenger VW Bus . I've been looking for a good original passenger Van for a while as I've been wanting to do a full custom suspension , Dropped on the ground wheels etc. Well shortly after buying this van I realized that its just to nice to do the big master plan I had in mind . This bus is just so tight and runs out so well I just don't have it in me to remove and alter everything . Now it may sound strange that I would want a bus is worse condition . But its true . So with that said , This bus has been in one family since purchased new in 1971 at Sanucci VW in Reseda , Ca . After years of good service it was then passed down to a family member who used it for a few years and then passed on to another family member and the family I purchase it from . This bus has been well loved and maintained its entire life . The people I bought the bus from only used in the summer months and then put in storage through our winter months in the northwest. The previous owner had the motor completely rebuilt sparing no expense to keep his loved bus working properly for his family . There are very low miles on the 1600 cc dual port engine . The transmission shifts smooth with no noises , brakes were gone through not long ago and work great just as they should . Has a great set of tires , newer battery , new roof rack , am/fm cd player . All the door panels are present and in overall good condition . The headliner has a few imperfections but its to be expected on a vehicle that is 43 years old . Front seat covers are good and the rears are original and show there age . Mostly on the middle seat . But still really not all that bad . The exterior was repainted once in its life . And by the looks of it was done many years ago . It does have its chips , scratches , and typical patina for an old VW Bus . As for rust its a really solid bus front floors have some surface rust bus no holes , rear floor is super solid no signs of rust. rockers have some rust bubbles here and there . But overall this bus is really solid for its age . And much better than most of them out there these days . 1971 Buses were the last year of the very reliable upright 1600cc motor , and the first year of disc brakes . Making the 1971 bus truly a special year as buses go. This bus drives great and has a great classic look . I would love to keep and do a full custom job on it . But its too good all stock . So I've already purchased one to do my custom work too . And this one is up for sale . It does have a clear title signed off by the previous owner . I can provided a current bill of sale to go along with the title .
