Vehicle Detail
The Good: This car has 113,859 miles on it. Both the engine and the transmission run really well. The turbo was swapped out at 105,000 miles. It has a waterproof soft top (see below). The Bad: This car has a faulty neutral position switch. Up until a few months ago, this meant that every once and awhile the car wouldn't register it was in park, and it wouldn't start unless it was shifted to neutral. However, the switch finally gave out completely and the car won't start at all. The part is a few hundred dollars. With a baby, job and grad school, I've opted not to tackle it. Another problem is the cylinders for the soft top are leaking, so I haven't taken the top down in over a year. The Ugly: To waterproof the top, I coated it with a spray rubber. It did the trick but there was some overspray onto the car. If it bothers you that much, I'm sure you could scrape it off. The back badge has no paint left and the front badge was replaced by an Aero decal, though is NOT and Aero model. The leather is cracked in some places and the driver side door handle is broken off half way, but still works. Lastly, the head liner sags a bit in the rear passenger side. This car will not start. You will need to tow it out of my drive, unless you know a work around for the switch (there is one on the internet, but I am not confident when it comes to electrical work. Also, as it has been sitting for close to 5 months, the battery is dead. Please bring a charger or jumper cables if you wish to verify the electric speedometer before you take it home. This will be a great car once that switch is replaced. That new turbo really makes this car a lot of fun to drive.
