It's back! Up for auction again is a nice 1928 Model A Ford Sport Coupe of older restoration, but in good shape. Car is garage kept and has been used in city driving only - no long road trips. Great for a St. Patrick's Day parade - has been in many - or just driving around town on a nice, sunny day. Vehicle has a CLEAR Virginia title. Engine No. 305033. The car is being sold AS IS - meaning the buyer assumes all responsibility for the car and there is NO warranty. However, here's what I can tell you about her. If you are 6'4'' and 240 lbs., it's going to be a snug fit behind the wheel - but it is doable. Car starts, stops, runs and most of the lights work. Brake light does not (but tail light does), nor does one of the cowl lamp lights, but it might just be a bulb. Headlamps and taillamp work. Has a rumble seat with the appropriate step plate. All 5 wheels are in good shape, as is the body. Minor chips in the paint and surface rust on some of the bumpers, but the car is quite presentable for an 86 year old vehicle. Upholstery is in good shape, as is the top but shows some wear and the zipper on the rear vent is inoperable on one side (but can be fixed). No dents and does not overheat. May need some minor engine adjustment (carburetor/timing) and the front spring does list a bit on the driver's side. Does have a rear trunk rack, but no trunk included in the sale. All in all, a nice solid Model A - it's been my third. No rust that I can see. Will provide shipping recommendations if needed, but this is the buyer's responsibility. Can be a bit flexible on pick-up arrangements/date. Can also arrange for local inspection and pick-up in Alexandria, VA. Good luck bidding!
