Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my 1987 Pontiac Fiero GT. This car has been my baby for the past 2 years, but it's time to find her a new home. I've put an enormous amount of time and money into restoring her and I've enjoyed this car very much. It's a beautiful, rust free example that has been garaged and covered the whole time I've owned it. These cars are getting more and more difficult to find in this condition. This Fiero is Bright Silver Metallic with a gray interior. It comes equipped with factory air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, power mirrors, sunroof (Vista Vent), and intermittent wipers. It still has the original clear GT sail panels installed and they're in great conditon. They are showing some checking, but still show great and are much better than the aftermarket reproductions that lack the correct thickness and curves. The taillights are also in excellent condition, although the driver side is showing some delamination. In the engine compartment is a 2.8 liter V6 engine mated to the desireable Getrag 5 speed manual transmission. The engine has under 1500 miles on a Jasper engine I had professionally installed a year & a half ago. At that time I had the intake plenum and valve covers powder coated, new Rodney Dickman stainless steel vacuum lines installed, and new West Coast Fiero stainless steel super exhaust manifolds installed. It runs great! It's paired to a Getrag 5 speed manual that shifts very nicely. I've done A LOT of work on this car as the pictures show. It's super clean and shows great. I always get compliments when I take her out for a spin. Seems everyone has a Fiero story. I have thousands of $$$ in receipts and countless hours invested in this car, but rather than bore you with all the details, I'll just list some of the things I've done: ENGINE: 2.8L V6 Jasper Engine West Coast Fiero Stainless Steel Super Exhaust Manifolds Rodney Dickman Stainless Steel Vacuum Lines New Catalytic Converter New hoses New Alternator New Clutch when engine installed New Die Hard Gold Battery SUSPENSION: New 16x7" Enkei RSF5 Hyper Silver Wheels New Sumitomo HTR A/S P01 tires 205/55R16 (FR) 215/55R16 (RR) New Prothane Polyurethane Engine Cradle Bushings New Monroe Sensa-trac Struts and Shocks INTERIOR: Mr. Mikes Leather Seats (GT Style) Factory Pontiac CD Player w/equalizer New Speakers front and rear New Headliner Professionally recovered original visors Fiero Store custom floor mats Rodney Dickman Competition Short Throw Shifter EXTERIOR: New Fiero Store Smooth Rear Side Marker Lights Fiero Store Clear Turn Signal Lenses New Outer Dew Wipes New sunroof seal and hardware. There are still a few items I never got around to fixing. This car, although extremely clean and very nice, still has a few things that need attention. I will list them below: The A/C blows warm: All the equipment is there, I just took the belt off the compressor since it wasn't working anyway. Wasn't a big deal in Washington. Cruise Control inoperable: This to me was not a big deal either so I never got around to fixing it. Recently, the output shaft seals on the transmission, both sides, have begun to leak. Leaves a drop or two of oil when parked overnight. Not a bad leak, but annoying. If you know Fieros, you know this is pretty typical stuff. It's a blast to drive, looks great, sounds great, is being offered with NO RESERVE and is priced to sell so this car will not likely be back up on Ebay again. Please also note that my car is for sale locally and is subject to prior sale prior to auction end unless the Ebay buyer selects BUY IT NOW. If sold locally prior to auction end, the car will be delisted immediately and any bidders will be notified. Because I've been burned in the past, absolutely no one with zero feedback may bid without prior approval. Also, online auction bidding is a legal and binding contract to purchase, if you don't have the money NOW or don't intend to purchase this car then DON'T BID! PAYMENT: A deposit of $500.00 must be made via Paypal within 24 hours of auction close. Full payment must be received in cash (in person) or Cashier's check within 7 days of auction close. Cashier's checks will require 7-10 days to clear before I release the vehicle. No other methods of payment including money orders and personal checks will be accepted. SHIPPING: Local pick up is free of course. Otherwise, all costs and arrangements for shipping are solely the responsibility of the buyer. Sorry, I will not ship this vehicle overseas or out of the country. I will try and accomodate local and out of state buyers as best I can. Finally, THERE IS NO WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, ON THIS VEHICLE. This car is sold AS IS. Thanks for looking at my auction.
