Selling my 1998 Chevy Silverado Extended Cab 4X4 pickup. I bought it with 102,000 highway miles on it, and have only used it to the extent of about 5,000 miles a year since. It was my huntin buggy! Daughter drove it to school and back for about one year, but no problems there. OK..... early in the summer, had a brake lock up. Took it to my mechanic, who then kept it most of the summer. Put new rotors, breaks, master cylinder and break lines on it. While he was waiting on parts he went through the whole thing, putting in a new power steering pump, nearly all new hoses and belts. Just put a new fuel pump and filter on it last week. We agreed that the noise the anti-lock break system made was annoying, so it was disconnected. Was never a good system on these trucks. And once in a while it will throw a code that the EGR valve is plugged. Well duh, another part of the exhaust system that was made to give you problems. Mechanic said to replace that was ridiculous. Check it out on youtube if you don't think this is accurate. It's a scam and can be cleaned rather easily.So whether keeping it or selling it, the truck is exactly like I would hope one to be if I were looking to buy. No leaks, a little surface rust on lower cab. New Nerf Bars recently put on for steps. Runs like new. I will add pics as soon as I can. Blue book value is $4200 Thanks for looking
