Vin does not register on eBay but is found on the Carfax below as well as a pic of the builder plate. Selling a very rare in the USA 1997 Alfa Romeo GTV Gia with about 59,606 miles. I just finished driving the car cross-country from Seattle to Columbus, Ohio. Changed the oil/filter just before leaving and proud to say the oil level is right where it was prior to the trip. Used a full synthetic oil. During the trip, the only problem seemed to be a speedo that quit working while driving through Montana. It's in KM so was relying on the speed listed through the GPS anyhow so it wasn't too big of a deal. The odometer continued to work just fine. Average speed was 80 mph and probably got around 28 mpg. This GTV 916 was produced from 1996 to 2006. Jeremy Clarkson of Top Gear listed it as #29 of the top 100 cars. It's simply one of the most beautiful cars you can buy. This is the kind of car that after you park and walk away, you just can't help take that extra glance. When driving, it has better acceleration then you would ever likely need. The GTV corners well (very stiff in the turns), and best of all, the engine sound is remarkable. I've heard it described as "gloriously melodic" and you will find it necessary to drive without the radio just for this reason. Like nearly all Alfa's of this vintage, the leater seats do have some surface cracking. I did recently treat them but they could use a bit more work. The only place it has worn through is where the seatbelt wraps across on the driver's side. The pics below do illustrate this. I've seen Alfa's with only 30,000 miles having the same problem. There are also a couple of tears where the seatbelt comes across the driver's seat. I had the same problem in a Mercedes SL, and fixed it for about $275 at an uholstery shop. Other cosmetics are just some very slight dings and stone rash but still very consistent with a car having 60,000 miles. Mechanically the car works perfectly aside from the speedo issue. I have ordered a new timing belt and camshaft from the UK, and expect it to arrive within the next week. The sale price includes installation of both or I can deduct $700 if you would like to install the parts yourself. Buyer will receive a clear Ohio title without any restrictions. A Carfax, (see below) reveals no accidents. Finally, I do drive the vehicle somewhat, so mileage may increase slightly during the auction.
