NO RESERVE!  Rare, 85 Saleen #85-69 Mustang for sale. One of only 137 Saleen hatchbacks produced in 1985. One of only 4 black with tan interior hatchbacks. Registered in the Saleen "big book", "20 years of Saleen Mustangs". Car has been used in autocross and track events, and has been modified accordingly. Modifications include Kenny Brown control arms, subframe connectors, panhard bar, strut tower brace, Bilstein struts, 8.8 rear with 3.55 gears, Autopower roll bar, Baer brakes, Saleen speedline 17" 5 lug wheels, headers, Dynomax exhaust, Edelbrock intake, MSD ignition and other small supporting mods. The paint on this car is not of show quality. An older paint job, it appears to be a cheap job that shows signs of bodywork, some un-repaired dents, and bad orange peel. It's a 20 footer. The car has an 86 Saleen front air dam. The car's original gold striping has been replaced by silver to match the wheels. The original 15" gold Hayashi wheels are included with the car. The interior is mostly original and relatively clean for a 96,000 mile car. It's missing the radio and shift knob. The steering wheel leather needs to be repaired, and it's missing the correct horn button. The dash is signed by Liz and Steve Saleen. Mechanically, the car is sound and fun to drive. The previous owner believed that the motor is not original to the car. I would assume this is the case. The a/c compressor, lines, and condenser have been removed. This is a fun and rare Saleen with lots of potential. It is not a show car. It's priced accordingly. It's not often that 85 Saleens are offered for sale. This is an opportunity to own an affordable early Saleen that you can drive and have fun with and not break the bank. Fox body Mustangs are on the rise. Saleens, especially the rarer versions, will continue to appreciate in value.
