For sale is a 1982 Honda CX-500 Turbo. I am the 2nd owner, having purchased the bike in February, 1999. This particular bike was purchased new by a service manager of a Honda dealership here in Washington State. The service manager insisted on uncrating and assembling the bike himself and then caringly owned the bike for the next 17 years. The bike almost never saw rain and was either washed or wiped down after each use. I purchased the bike direct from this owner. It was for sale as a classified ad in the Seattle Times in February, 1999. I almost did not go see it as I wanted a super-low mileage bike, but when I called and we talked on the telephone and I understood he was the original owner, I decided to go and see the bike. In fact, the seller was still the service manager at the very same Honda dealership. The bike is virtually flawless - in fact, except for a pin head nick in the front fender (yes, just a pin head nick in the front fender) and a slight crack in the battery cover, I cannot think of anything else to fault. Not a crack in the fairing, or a barely a scratch anywhere else. This 500 Turbo runs absolutely fantastic. I just took it in this summer for a full service at my authorized Honda dealer. They found not a single need with the bike, except for the service. One interesting item that comes with this bike, is the original owner purchased a custom 500-Turbo motorcycle cover. These were only available for purchase when these bikes were brand new. I have been told that these covers are very rare. I know for a fact that I have never seen or even heard of another one. Of course, this motorcycle cover will stay with the bike as it has since new. I have ridden the bike only 200-to-300 miles since I have purchased it, so essentially all miles are from the original owner. I made a point of keeping the original title as well - it is a WA State title issued 4/09/82 to this bike. It essentially has been in my collection of vintage and special interest bikes.
