Vehicle Detail

For sale by private owner is a beautiful, stock, low mileage Porsche 911 Targa. You’ll have a blast driving this air-cooled roadster around town or on road trips, and turning heads everywhere you go. The Targa is a great combination of the benefits of driving topless on a sunny day without the hassle and extra mechanics of a cabriolet top. This car has seen light pleasure use only, never tracked. Below are the vehicle particulars. I’m available to answer any additional questions you may have. Please be sure to ask before placing a bid. Foreign buyers: I can help you make arrangements for export. Mechanical: With just 58,000 miles, this engine starts and runs perfectly. Here’s a video of a cold start - http://youtu.be/rVgMBPztaYQ. I have full records from myself and the previous owner. There are no signs of oil leaking. The engine room has a new sound barrier pad and new engine hood shocks. Besides that, I have not had to do any engine work except for normal tuneups and oil changes. The 5 speed manual transmission shifts smoothly through all gears. The previous owner had a complete transmission rebuild done 20k ago. I have had no transmission issues. A full brake job was done 10k ago. This included new front and rear brake pads, pins and clips, new rear calipers, new front and rear brake hoses, brake fluid flush, and the painting of the calipers in red. Air conditioning runs but probably could use a refrigerant refill. I rarely use it. Most of the A/C components were replaced 20k ago. The heating system works perfectly. The wheels are the original Fuchs with Porsche emblem. I don’t have the exact age of the tires but they are in good shape and had plenty of miles still left in them. Exterior/Interior: Paint color is Grand Prix White and the interior is black leather. The driver and passenger seats show some slight amount of cosmetic wear. The rear fold down seats are in great condition. It has an Alpine Bluetooth/Pandora stereo, new rear speakers and new antenna installed 10k ago. It also has a heads-free phone setup. Other recent work include new driver and passenger door inner/outer window seals, new door stay reinforcement kits, and lubrication of window regulators. The targa top works great and is a tri-fold design that fits under the hood. I also have a second top – a hard top – that I’ve never used by is included with the sale. There is no rust anywhere that I have found. When I bought the car 4 years ago, there was a small (pea-sized) rust spot on a rear fender and a quarter-size spot under the hood, both of which I repaired with touch-up paint. There are a few minor chips on the front bumper and leading edge of the hood (see photo). And there is a very small dent in the left front fender right in front of the fuel fill cap (see photo). Otherwise, the body is in excellent shape. The car has the stock spare tire and jack. As shown in the pictures, this Targa has the optional whaletail. This has been a summer car for us. It is stored for the winter, being driven once a month when the roads are clear just to keep everything working OK. A $2000 non-refundable deposit is required within 3 days of the auction’s end, the balance to be paid within 7 days of the auction’s end. Buyer is responsible for any shipping. The car is listed locally and we reserve the right to end the auction at any time should it sell prior to auction’s end. Thanks for your interest.
