Vehicle Detail
I am selling a nicely optioned 1965 Mustang convertible. It is a factory 289 V8 car. The options it came with new are listed below and can be verified through the trim tag and VIN number. Ivy Green exterior w/ Standard black interior C Code 289ci 2bbl Engine C4 Transmission 8 inch rear endPower convertible top (goes up and down smoothly and works perfectly) Factory A/C (everything is there including the compressor) Power Steering Power brakes The first half of the pictures are of the car as it was a few months ago when it was on the road and driving so you can see what you are getting. The last half is current since I tore the car down for restoration. All parts are included that were taken off that are in the first pictures with the exception of the engine, transmission and center console. The engine was a 1970’s 302 and the tranny probably came from the same donor car. I pulled and sold them since they were not correct for the car and needed rebuilding anyways. The console was damaged during removal so it was not kept. In addition the sale includes the following parts. - Set of new black front seat covers - Rear quarter skin (driver’s side) - Rear lower section by door (driver’s side) From looking it over, it looks like most of the sheet metal on the car is original with the ford markings and stamps. As stated before, this was a drivable car a few months ago and would be a great restoration project. I have done 95% of the tear down work, so it is a blank canvas for some to restore as 100% original or do a resto-mod if they wish. The only work that has been done to the car was the previous owner had the floor pans replaced due to rust. Everything else looks as it did in 1965.
