2001 HONDA INSIGHT Description: Up for sale is a 2001 HONDA INSIGHT. The car has IMA light and is in GAS ONLY mode. Still gets 40 to 50 mpg. Low mileage and overall great shape. Drives well and has a tight new car feel. No rust because the car is practically all aluminum. I purchased the vehicle this summer with the hopes to put in a new hybrid battery. I was short for money so I replaced the cells with refurbished ones. Definitely a bad idea because they only lasted a couple weeks. Had to go back into gas only mode. I still have the original battery cells and a charger I will include with this auction if you want to tinker. I am selling because I don't have the time or patience to work with it right now. I also purchased another car that fits my needs better. I put new tires on the car about 5 months ago and they have less than 4000 miles on them. Also purchased a new 12 volt battery 3 months ago. I just changed the oil and coolant. I have the original radio and Honda emblem for the hood. Very nice car and I hate to sell because I wanted one for so long but it needs to go. My loss your gain. NOTE: This car has a rebuilt title. Was in a accident at one time but it is now fixed and unnoticeable. Car is able to be driven but make sure your state laws support the use of this automobile. You can see where the damage was in the picture of the right side of the engine. The frame was welded. *You can only tell from the engine compartment*. You would never know from driving or looking at it. I had it enhanced inspected and it is deemed safe and road worthy. Now for the problems with this car. This is not meant to scare you away but to make you fully aware so that there are no surprises when you get here. I believe in honesty and I would want to know the same kinds of things before I invested my time and money into a car. -Needs new hybrid battery (Unless you are content with gas only - low power) -SRS light is on. Had it removed but came back on. Not sure why (pictured). -Windshield washer fluid does not come out for the main window but rear window works. I hear the motor but haven't looked into the problem. -Only one key and no keyless entry remotes. -Rear hatch struts worn out -Radio antenna cracking (pictured) -The one vent is broken on the inside and not able to be adjusted (pictured). - Driver rear rim has plastic remnants from a previous wheel cover falling off * (pictured). * When I purchased this vehicle someone used zip ties to hold on the wheel covers. This was not effective and I ended up having one drag down the road. I replaced the cover as you can see and purchased the correct mounting hardware for the covers. **NOTE** I was just notified by someone that there is a discrepancy with the mileage under the eBay history report. I was not aware of this until now. I have no idea why it would be different. I am sorry for the inconvenience. I am doing my best to find out why but in the mean time I am lowering the staring price. If there was an odometer change, then the miles listed are not correct and that should compensate. Sorry for the confusion.
