I am proud to present for auction this stunning 1986 Chevrolet Camaro Z-28 IROC-Z. The Camaro IROC-Z is a proud tribute to the Camaros used in the famed International Race Of Champions. The IROC-Z has become a true modern classic and quickly becoming highly collectible. This particular "Z" is in outstanding authentic condition. I am a serious classic / specialty car, enthusiast / collector. I am also a Licensed New York State Motor vehicle dealer. I will be selling this car through my business. To start , this Camaro has NEVER seen any winter or foul weather, and it shows. No rust anywhere ever! No bondo here! It is also a Non-smoker, ashtray and lighter never used. Finished in correct "flame red" metallic this beauty gets "thumbs-up" everywhere. The body is laser straight. It appears to have had a very high quality professional basecoat/clear-coat refinish in its correct "Flame-Red" metallic. The finish on this "Z" is amazing and has a "liquid like" gloss. All of the jambs are perfect and glossy. No tape lines or overspray. This thing simply shimmers in the sun! With just 76,000 original miles this car drives absolutely NEW! No overstating here, this thing is a joy to cruise! The all stock 5.0 liter Tuned Port Injection V-8 really performs. Mated to a Turbo 700R4 automatic overdrive transmission and a 3.42 posi-traction rear-end , it responds effortlessly while getting great gas mileage. The entire drive-train is tight and smooth. The undercarriage is clean and dry, NO LEAKS! Suspension ,steering and brakes are also tight, positive and smooth with no issues. No squeaks or rattles. Doors open and close smoothly, no sagging hinges. The original 16" Alloy wheels are perfect with NO curb rash! This "Z" rides on correct Good Year Eagle HP 245/50/16 directional radials that are like new ,with no abnormal wear. Factory wheel locks insure they stay where they belong! This IROC is all stock with no modifications except the following 3 minor items. (1) the factory radio has been replaced with a high end Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo with wireless remote, (2) the original steering wheel was replaced with a color coordinated leather wrapped Grant GT wheel that looks Great, (3) the factory oil pressure gauge was erratic (common problem on 3rd generation Camaros) so to keep tabs on this strong running 5.0 Fueley, a small mechanical gauge was neatly installed below the dash next to the console. Oil pressure is consistent at 40-45 lbs. There is also a new water pump, alternator and battery. The stock exhaust also appears relatively new including the catalytic converter. The interior is in excellent condition with only signs of very minor wear. Everything works perfectly, as it should. All power options, including the antenna, cruise control, and cold A/C. Fabric headliner is a little thin in a couple of spots adjacent to the T-tops. This has the mirrored glass tops, which are excellent. Also, the case for the tops is excellent. It is one of the nicest Camaros I have seen in a LONG time. Meticulously maintained and NEVER abused! It is a rare find. You will NOT be disappointed!
