Vehicle Detail
1995 Chevrolet Silverado K1500 Z71 4X4 Country Coach Customized Pick Up, Black - Project Truck - Needs Frame Engine is original excellent running 5.7 / 350, with 5 speed manual transmission, and a 3.42 Gear Ratio. Truck has 2 ½ inch Flowmaster exhaust with high flow catalytic converter, & K&N air filter, 16"Chrome American Racing AR-23 Wheels with Dunlop Rover RV XT LT265/75/16 10 ply tires. The truck has a nice ground effects package w/ fog lamps, and the sport side bed has chrome rails, a fiberglass cover (early design) with a sport fin, and a Bed Rug carpet in the truck bed. The bed cover is propped up, as the springs for the lock pins that hold it in place are weak and stopped working properly years ago, but it stays in place just fine. The bed is in great shape under the Bed Rug, as it was installed early on when the truck went through the custom shop. The odometer reading is 134,478 original miles. Title is clean. Will include owner's manual, service/repair manual, extra winter wiper blades, extra stock air filter, orig. lug nuts (for spare tire) & lock socket (rims). Truck equipment includes power windows, power locks, power sport mirrors, tilt wheel, cloth seats, cruise control, sliding rear window, AM/FM radio, cassette, CD, A/C (works, but needs Freon charge), new battery, EGR valve, replaced windshield, starter, alternator, water pump, power steering pump, intake manifold gasket, 4wd actuator assembly, hydraulic clutch slave cylinder, all gear oil has been changed (transmission, transfer case & both front and rear differentials). This truck has been well maintained, mostly at our local Chevy dealership. Exterior body has some rust spots that need some attention and paint. All glass is in good shape. Interior is in decent shape with normal wear and tear for a 20 year old truck, the worst offense being a rip in the driver’s seat (see pics). The frame rusted and split on the front passenger side just over where the stabilizer / sway bar mounts are connected (see pics). I actually drove it this way to work and back home from two towns over for a while thinking I had front end issues until I took a good look at the frame, so the truck is movable enough to get onto a flatbed for transport. The truck is no longer registered, so that is as far as it is going on it's own power. These are the best pictures that came out fairly decent showing the frame damage I have without the truck being on a lift, which I have no access to. The frame needs to be REPLACED, as it cannot be fixed simply by welding it back together, or I would have done so. The best bet would be to replace the whole frame instead of trying to just replace the horns (front portion), as was explained to me by the mechanics I usually deal with. While apart for the frame work, it would be a good idea to replace the rear main oil seal and clutch assembly (which still works fine with no issues, but now has over 100K miles on it). This has been an awesome truck, set up nicely, great in all weather, which I (adult non-smoker, second owner) have owned and driven since 1998 and will miss, but I don’t have the time or energy for such a project, and needed to get another 4x4 on the road before winter.
