Great little 4x4 for sale. I love everything about this vehicle but simply have too many cars to insure at this point. Has a few issues, but then again its 25 years old. I'll do my best. It runs and drives perfectly. I've had zero issues. It doesn't leak anything, it doesn't burn oil, does not overheat, it idles great, doesn't stall, 4x4 works perfectly, loads of clutch, new carb, wires. New suspension bushings and shocks. It truly runs great, I drive it to work 25 miles a few times a week. I'd be confident to drive it anywhere. Problems: The gas gauge only work till about 1/2 tank left, then goes to zero. New sending unit is about $100, I've never really cared so I didn't fix it. The interior dash lights are temperamental, probably a loose fuse or relay. There is rust over wheels, and on one side inner fender, rusted through over one wheel. Other than that one small spot, all the floor pans seem very solid. Parking light is stuck on. The moon roof leaks sometimes in hard rain. There is no interior carpet. The tires are old, but have good treat. Its painted with flat grey bed liner. It's old and looks like, it. DOES NOT INCLUDE ANY STEREO SHOWN. Will be sold without head unit, rear speakers, amps, wires etc. Does include front dash speakers. These 1st gen monteros have value. They are extremely tough, and very capable off road without mods. I had a blast smashing through feet of snow last winter, and am sure I'll regret selling this at first snow storm. It is sold as is.
