Vehicle Detail

Classic 1986 Subaru Brat GL 4WD with Standard 2-Door Cab, 4-speed manual transmission, and only 115,633 miles. Great collector’s car as an all-original Subie in very good condition with low miles. Small-width 4WD that gets you to those hard-to-reach locations in style. I cannot drive this car without getting compliments on its retro character, and I am sad to sell such a great and good-looking Brat. All lighting and electronics work and body is generally in great shape. Rare burgundy paint color makes the Brat decals stand out. T-Tops and their original visor wind-deflectors function well while Tops are hinged open or fully removed. The Dashboard is perfect (so rare) and the tan interior is in very good shape. Minor rust is present throughout as to be expected for a 28-year old car, but previous owner diligently rust-proofed all wheel wells (both sides including the Bed) for added longevity. It comes with brand new tires (2014) and brand new battery (2014), as well as it’s serial-numbered Topper, original owner’s manuals, and original keys (glove box and main). It runs and idles better the more it is ran but carburetor could use rebuilding/replacement (inexpensive and easy to find and install). There is a small leak at the midpoint of the “clamshell” gas tank (along its gasket), a small hole in the hood (at lower left), a small crack in the passenger front blinker (which still works fine), and the rear Topper lock needs replacing (inexpensive cylinder-style lock). Otherwise the 1986 Brat runs well and everything works well. Rear seats were removed by previous owner, which allows for practical and real truck bed functionality. I just replaced the gas tank lock but have not had a chance to get to the remaining projects above. Sadly I must move for work (and cannot take it with me) and am selling her at a steal. Please be in touch if you have any questions. Vehicle is located in the Greater Salt Lake Area. $500 Paypal deposit is due within 24 hours of the auction’s close; final payment (cashier’s check, cash, money order or Paypal) and vehicle pickup are required within 10 days of the auction’s close. Please bid only if you can meet this timeline. The Vehicle is sold “as is” and is definitely priced to sell. This is a real auction with no reserve. Best of luck!
