1988 PORSCHE 928 S4 This is a NO RESERVE auction, meaning that the highest bidder at the end of the auction wins, regardless of the final price! You are bidding on a completely stock 1988 Porsche 928 S4 with a highly sought-after 5-speed manual transmission! The powerful 5.0 L V8 engine revs smoothly throughout the entire rev range and produces close to 300 horsepower! When applied, the 4-wheel antilock disc brakes are very firm and can quickly bring the car safely down from speed. The clutch is tight and the transmission shifts easily into each gear. As with any car of this vintage, there is some expected, age-related wear; such as areas where the paint has faded, chips, etc. Please refer to the many pictures included below. Most of the inside components of the car function as they should. A nice Sony CD unit is included with the car, but will need to be connected together with new driver’s door speakers. The automatic climate control functions as it should; however, the air conditioner may require a recharge to blow cold. All of the power equipment inside of the car is working correctly including the windows, front and rear wipers, headlights and washers. The power mirrors and sunroof will require attention, as well as the seats. The power locks, which are connected to the factory alarm system, are also a bit finicky. All of the gauges appear to be working correctly except for the fuel gauge, which has been working sporadically after the car came out of storage. Immediately prior to being listed, this car was in storage and will need to be serviced accordingly. The fuel system has been completely flushed and a new fuel pressure regulator has been fitted. All four tires have also been replaced with a new set. I have driven this car briefly around town, but it is due for a timing belt service and a tune-up, and should not be driven until these services are completed.
