Vehicle Detail
1953 Studebaker Champion Regal Starlight Coupe. Inline L Head 169.9 CI 6 cylinder engine, 3 speed standard floor shift. Floor shifter installed by previous owner. Car owned since 1966, not driven since 1973. Intact rear window not installed; but included. Title transfer to be paid by buyer. Local pickup. This car was one of 25,488 manufactured in 1953. Designed by Robert E. Bourke, chief of the Raymond Loewy studios at South Bend, Indiana, probably the outstanding American automotive design of the 1950’s, certainly one of the all-time greats. Clearly a design concept which eventually revolutionized the automobile industry in America.
