1965 Greeves Trials Special Frame # 24 TFS 592 Motor: Villiers 37A,4 speed,with 250cc Greeves alloy square barrel top end This is a 1965 Greeves vintage trials bike which has a recently completed frame up mechanical and cosmetic restoration It is a TFS "Scottish MK 3" model,modified with several upgrades and/or improvements to enhance its performance.The Scottish Trials models were built by Greeves from 1957 thru 1965,this is the last year for this model. Restored by Dan Vitaletti of Vitaletti Restorations Major spec variances from the stock TFS Trials include: 19" rear wheel Folding foot pegs Anglian gas tank(autograghed by the late Dave Bickers at this years Steamboat Vintage Meet in June) Villiers 37A (Anglian spec) motor Amal concentric carb Motor and transmission have been completely gone thru,all bearings seals and primary chain replaced with new parts The Villiers ignition system has been reworked.The primary ignition coil has been stripped of its secondary windings and a secondary coil is mounted under the gas tank.Lighting coils have been removed. Alloy beam frame has been powder coated the correct : "Moorland Blue". Gas tank and fenders are new fiberglass items.Gas tank has been Caswell coated.Gas tank and fenders have a fresh coat of acrylic enamel automotive paint,with protective clear coat. The tires are unused,but show slight sidewall cracks,they are adequate for trials use. Rims (21" front-19" rear)are original steel Dunlop,with full width British hub brakes. New parts used in the build of this bike include,but are not limited to: All cables Handlebars/grips Compression release assembly Seat Air filter assembly,aftermarket NJB rear shocks Foot pegs Rear chain Kick starter,aftermarket Alloy numberplate Throttle and levers(Tomaselli Matador replicas) Rear brake shoes Bike has approx. 25min run time on it to verify that everything functions properly.
