A realestate developer Tom Driscoll stumbled into a collection of 20 unique cars that were sold by a lawyer who foreclosed on a note due. You can read about the find at Driscoll Car Collection. This car sat in warehouse in Connecticut for 15 years untouched. The odometer shows 32k miles which given this story and the look of the undercarriage, I believe the mileage is true. Tom Driscoll is my brother in law so I purchased this car from him. When I got the car the 454 truck engine didn’t run. I pulled the engine and gave it to Rick Roshto at MPG racing engines. Rick is a great engine builder and focuses on big block Chevys. He built an engine that was made to be Streetable and now produces about 650hp. Its got a great Loppy sound. I spent over 6,000 on the engine which only has 2000 miles on the rebuilt engine. The build sheet is attached. This leads me to why I am selling this car. It is to fast for me. I spun out while entering an on ramp and hit an electrical box. The front right quarter panel got smashed. I’ve been told by a body shop that it can be repaired rather than replaced. I don’t want to mess with this car anymore and am going to move on to another project. I am looking for a late 60’s mustang convertible that I would consider a trade.
