This car was a one family car that provided transportation to a family through two generations of college students. This is a solid New Mexico survivor that had been in one family since 1955 until we purchased it in 2011. This vehicle has exceptional glass and gauges. The 265 engine is a smooth running engine and was one of the first V-8's Chevrolet small blocks introduced. It is backed by a cast iron, 2 speed Powerglide transmission that has been cleaned and overhauled recently. The floor pans are solid, however the spare tire are will need to be replaced as well as the rocker panels on both right and left hand sides of the car. The car has various chips in the paint and small dings as it was a daily driver used by college students. This car was purchased from the original owner in 2011, as a gift for our children. It was then stored in a garage until recently. We started working on the vehicle and replaced the original brake parts with new cylinders, also upholstered the original seats and purchased carpet and headliner material. It comes with original hubcaps, (wheel covers), and has an operational rear tail gate. We hope to get it to a good home as we are not able to complete the work due to having college students of our own. Shipping is left to the purchaser.
