Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This car was originally from Texas. The previous owner, from Ohio, bought it from a local dealer in 2005 as a restoration project. He made a start by cleaning up and painting the engine bay and then had the body sprayed. He then lost interest and it sat in his garage for a few years. I bought it from him in 2009 with the intention of restoring it to its former glory, using parts from a donor car. Soon after my health started to deteriorate and it's more than I can work on now so I need to accept that it needs a new owner. I’ve never tried to get the engine started but I don’t think the previous owner would have gone to the trouble of painting the engine and engine bay if the engine was in need of some work. As you can see the interior needs doing. I have the seats (which will need recovering) and all the window glass. It’s not a complete car but it would be a great body shell for anyone who is about to start a restoration and is facing a lot of body/frame repair work and a re-spray. Comes with title. In its current state, you can see exactly what you are getting. Looking inside the front fenders you can see the inner wings are in very good shape and the floors look very solid too, obviously a result of its days in dry Texas. The rest of the body looks great. There are some paint chips that need touching up, mainly around the trunk area (see photos). On all the photos the white substance (e.g. on the trim fixing holes) is just remnants of the polish used after the re-spray. Obviously they are not the correct wheels, and the tires would need replacing, but I have the original wheels to go with it. Anyone local is welcome to come and look it over before the auction ends. Car is also being advertised locally so I reserve the right to terminate the auction early if sold locally. Buyer is responsible for transport/shipping.
