Vehicle Detail
I spent over $5000.00 on this 1999 Honda Odyssey when I had the transmission rebuilt and the AC pump replaced along with work done on the front suspension less than 15000 miles ago, the van has 191907 miles or 308844kms on it now. The engine started shutting off at random and damage was done to the rear hatch so I took it off the road. The brakes were good on it, the summer tires are finished but the winter tires have well over 50% life left (winter tires and wheels go with the vehicle only if the buy it now price is met or nearly met). If the buy it now price is not met, I'm willing to negotiate a price for the winter tires on wheels. I always used synthetic oil in the engine and it was maintained regularly, lots of life left. I'm not very patient with vehicles but for someone who is, this vehicle will run for a long while. I personally would sell it as a parts vehicle if I had the time, either way there is to much value in the transmission alone for it to go to the scarp yard. To certify, the van would need a new windshield, a rear wiper and tail light, possibly work done to the brakes (as the vehicle has been sitting for a while). I can not guarantee that the engine may not need anything, again only because it has been sitting for a while, the engine was excellent prior to taking it off the road. While the electronic problem that shuts the engine off, has no bearing on getting the van certified, that is something that would need to be repaired to put the van back on the road. I have tried to capture the condition of the vehicle as accurately as possible on the pictures, I would like to draw attention to the rust on the bottom of the drivers side door, some on the gas door area, as well as the bottom centre of the rear hatch. Apart from that, the van is pretty solid. There are several minor little dents on the drivers side sliding door and rear panel. Both sliding doors work well (not power), nothing of significance to report on the inside. All the seats are good, I added a Honda factory CD player, works well. The vehicle has no reserve on it and the opening bid is what I can get from the scrap dealer and they will pick it up. The Van must be picked up at this location within 10 days of the auction closing. I believe that it could be driven away however I make no such guarantees, so I would recommend a towing axle from U-haul or a trailer. If you need it delivered I have a truck I can tow it with, a delivery charge would need to be negotiated. Buyer assumes all delivery or pickup costs. Enjoy bidding and good luck.
