PRICE LOWERED!! due to a bidder who hasnt responded, this is up for sale with price lowered.I have a 1981 Mercedes 380 sl convertible/hardtop, bought to restore, but due to back injury cannot finish.when i ran vin thru here,{vin# WDB10704512000548} it kicked back, apparently car was ordered from germany, has clear title,registered in my name,not rebuilt, wrecked or stolen, just has apparently been ordered from factory. car will start, will not idle, brakes work, car must be trailered , cannot be driven. i have removed fuel tank, cleaned and re-installed, replaced fuel pump, relay and filter. car has rust on rear quarter, have new replacement panel for it. car has new spark plugs, new battery as well. all glass is good, interior fair. i have done some color-sanding , it looks a lot better! wheels are unique, as i cannot find any like them on internet. i have a new convertible top still in the box for it also...a 500 dollar top. dont want to sell, but cannot wok on them anymore, so im letting it go. brakes work as ive moved it around my yard. this car with a little work, will be a good driver, or can be restored to any level . i ask 2200, that is more than what ive invested, just want to see someone do to it what it deserves. thanks and God bless.
