Vehicle Detail
WELCOME to NAMCmopar's on-line store! Up for sale from the collectors of cool things here at NAMCmopar: We have this good look'n bright Lemon Twist yellow 1970 Plymouth Barracuda with the stylized AAR strobe stripe and hood blacked out with organisol. Car was originally a slant six, auto trans car, restored in 2005 to fun driver quality using this 340 4 barrel. This car is not perfectly straight but looks great rolling down the highway! Vin number matches on Dash and Cowl. Car has had trunk floor replaced, front core support replaced and front floor was patched with repop patch panels. Car has rebuilt 1973 340 4 bbl w 727 automatic transmission, runs strong! Sounds great with headers, dual exhaust into Flow Master mufflers and AAR style side exit exhaust tips that put the rumble directly in front of the rear wheels. Car rides on 15x7 chrome Magnum 500 wheels and radial tires. Rear tires are 50% left or less - that tells us this car does GREAT burn outs! Rear end is a 9 1/4" 321 SureGrip with large rear sway bar with zero arch heavy duty springs for flat cornering. This does make the rear end stiff for general daily driving, but works to your advantage in the corners. Front end of car has manual disc brakes with rear brake bias valve. Front suspension is solid with sway bar. Steering wheel is 1/4 turn off of center which can be corrected with a front end alighment. Car drives nice, brakes work great. Front and rear bumpers where rechromed originals in 2005, still nice. Grille is very nice with 'Cuda red grill bars dressing it up. Yellow paint has some bubbles at lower door corner and lower rocker to rear quarter area as per photos. Floor pans are solid. Hood is light weight AAR repop fiberglass with hood pins. We trimmed the hood's back edge (near windshield) so the factory concealed wipers can have clearance to enable them to "return to Park" This is an issue with these fiberglass hoods. Front windshield has been replaced. Overall car's glass is in good shape. Interior has had seat covers installed with new carpet, headliner, package tray, seat dividers and dash cap sits on cars original dash pad. Car has Rallye dash with correct lower left hand heater controls dash piece and stock radio installed. Radio is not hooked up, there are no speakers currently in car. All windows roll up and down. Left rear window regulator works but has broken window crank screw. This can be repaired by drilling out the existing screw or change that window regulator. All dash gages work including tach. Tach sometimes sticks, but it works when it wants to. Car will need new turn signal switch because horn will honk when lever is pulled so we unhooked horns. Blinkers are intermittent. A new turn signal switch will cure this issues. Owner of this car has had NAMCmopar fix a short list of issues that we found. We continue to give this car a little bit of attention and may yet fix a few of the remaining ailments while car is live on auction. Contact NAMCmopar with any questions!
