This had been on the road for the last 5 years and was recently taken off to have some work done. As mentioned it is a great driver in the condition it is now. If you like patina and not looking for perfect paint etc. this is for you. Notice some of the pictures are before I put the door panels on and you can see there is no rust. Also 1 picture shows the rear bumper sanded down to bare metal before it was primed and painted. Over the years it has had some body dents and damage and most were filled with bondo and not the best work. Look over the pictures and you can see some of the panels are not straight. The bumpers have been straightened, sanded and painted and new gaskets were put on the front and rear lights and new turn signal lenses and gaskets added to the front. The only thing it needs is the heater tube that runs from the engine to the front cross member. It also was rusted and we removed it when repairing the front cross member. This is easy to replace, and not necessary if you are not going to use the heater. The engine runs great, starts right up and does not smoke. I am not sure what was done to the engine before I got it. I assume it is the original engine and transmission but I'm not an expert on this. Tires are in good shape and it does have a good spare tire. It has the original VW hub caps. This is the best I can do to describe my bus and I will be glad to take more pictures or answer any questions. This is one of the desirable split window buses and will continue to go up in value. Look at the prices they bring when they are fully restored with a good paint job. Good luck bidding
