Aluminum body, Diesel, 4 speed manual with 28,449 box A original miles on odometer and clear open title. The engine in it now is a modern Mercedes 220 Diesel that runs and drives beautiful. I bought a 1945 Willy's here in Arizona from the nephew selling his uncle's land that is now in Russia. I saw this Rover in one of his barns with several other classic cars and made him a offer as it is one of my all time favorite classics and they wanted to sell everything. I had intentions of doing a full restoration with new paint and tires but now have decided to move back to California and selling everything. It includes a box with some parts, original owners manual, books, mileage history, receipts, mirrors, air filter, alternator etc.. The truck had been sitting since last driven in 1998. I emptied out the fuel tank, filled with diesel, put a battery in it and sprayed some starting fluid in the throttle body and it fired right up to drive on the trailer. I am not sure why the alternator was removed but I have driven it up and down my street and she runs very good. I am selling the project as is to someone who has a couple hours to dial in the loose ends and make it a nice daily driver. I have the original spare for the rear hatch and hood not shown in pic. All 6 tires are old and even though they hold air will need to be replaced. I am selling to the highest bidder on a 5 day auction. This truck has been in Arizona since new in 1970. The original owner was a communications engineer in the military for 30 years. It is wired for and had several electronic devices installed including 4 different antennas and all kinds of communication boxes. His nephew described this truck as it was his uncles doomsday vehicle basically. I have since had it painted and it's now ready for some new tires and a new owner.
