Must Sell! This car is really a Deal,..Hope you read. Health forces sale: 1946 Ford 2 Door Super Deluxe Sedan. Harry Truman purchased the first 46 off the assembly line in July of 45. This car is a project to copy that car! Car is complete, minus a trunk seal and door seal and window channel kit. This is a rare year model being a 46 made in 1945 and sold in 1945. Ford started offering this model on July 3rd, 1945. The list of new and NOS parts that come with the car is exceptional. There are duplicate parts that also go with the car. The speedometer in the pic is the original that was in the car, and the miles are actual for the car at 82095. A Later model Ford Y Block 292 has been installed with the proper adapters. The stock fuel pump had to be eliminated so the car runs at this time with only an electric fuel pump. It has the original 3 speed Ford transmission column shift, and has 3:54 Rear end.(was offered only in 46 stock for the original set-up) All chrome is new or re-done. Super nice body!! No real rust, just pitting on floor pans and some pitting in trunk pan that have been cleaned and POR-15 coated. Comes with all new glass Kit in box(not pictured). No channel kits though. Pair of NOS window crank mechanisms. Will need upholstery but the original upholstery is actually in super shape, and springs are good. NOS wiper motor, New dash gauges, and NOS Speedometer. Steering wheel was professionally restored at big cost as well as the complete dash!. New wiring harness in the box(not pictured). New Tail Lights. Walker Radiator. Ford script foglights and correct backup lights. New Master Cyl, and hoses. Undercarriage Chassis Suspension is all original and looks very very good. A lot of the front suspension has been cleaned and some painted. New U-Joint and motor mounts/Trans Mounts rear. New Dual exhaust. All new door handles and escoutcheons, Pair of NOS outside handles. All new trim clips and bags of new stainless trim screws etc.. Rear window glass stainless trim was not available for 1946 Ford however Mercury trim fits and I have that with the new seal. New Gas Tank/ and sender and lines. New battery mounted in trunk(wouldnt fit in original spot with 292 conversion). New Glove box, New dash Knob kit. Dash professionally restored! Side body and door trim and all stainless come with the car are in excellent condition.(Not Pictured). Good thing about the car is with everything you get, you can finish it how you want it.
