1932 Chevrolet Custom 2 Door Sedan. Some may call this a rat rod - some a custom. It's really too nice to be called a rat rod, but to each their own. The car was finished just before Thanksgiving 2013. We drove it around Daytona for the Rod Run and spent some time on A1A and at the Bel Air Plaza car show. We had a blast. Since then we've been to a couple cruise-ins and shows. Now it's time for another project. Here are the details on this awesome ride - NERVOUS MOTHER- Body came out of Iowa. A professional shop in Keokuk did the chop, channel and metalwork on the interior. I found it, drove to Iowa and brought it back to my shop and did the chassis and motor to finish it. The car is solid. It's all steel, as one can tell. Clearcoated bare steel -not hiding a thing. The frame is all square tube. Z'ed in the back half to accomodate the airbags and 4 link. The drivetrain is pro built from ASW Performance in Fort White, Fl. I have the dyno sheet and the contact info for the builder. It makes just over 700hp with the 671 Dyers blower and runs on pump gas. It holds 85psi of oil pressure and doesnt miss a lick. Over $18k in the motor alone. The ignition system is MSD. The box is concealed in the car. The radiator is a new Walker copper radiator build specifically for this application. It has an integrated cooler for the TH350, which is a reverse manual valve body with a kit and a Lokar shifter. The doors are suicided and operate on a remote control (key fob) or by a button on the dash on each side. The car runs top and rides great. Disc brakes up front and drums in the rear on the 10 bolt Chevrolet truck rear end. The interior floor is steel that is Line-X'ed. Beautiful craftmanship. The seats are bomber seats. The headliner is custom aluminum skins that are very smooth and clean. There are authentic door 'locks' from a B52 bomber on both doors to add that extra touch to the 'aviation' theme of the car. The doors and body lines are even. The doors open and close perfectly. When you hit the button for either door, it pops right open and neither drag or sag or hang up. Not a thrown together car.
